According to permits filed with the City of New Orleans, the new location of Croissant D’Or will be a 3,668-square-foot restaurant with seating and an indoor courtyard. Structural renovations to the building will also create five apartments above the café. The building used to house an art gallery, storage units and apartments.

In 2019, Hoa and Thu Nguyen of DAA Holdings took ownership of Croissant D’Or, according to permit filings with the city. The bakery-café was first established in 1983 by pastry chef Maurice Delechelle, and it built a following for its Old World approach to pastries, croissants and cafés au lait.
