After the French Quarter location of Mahony’s Po-Boys and Seafood closed last summer and the original location at 3454 Magazine St. closed in July, it appears the popular local brand is set to make a comeback, as the original location will reopen this fall under new ownership.

According to the official Mahony’s website, the original location will reopen as Mahony’s Po-Boys under the direction of the owners of The Will and The Way, a casual craft-focused pub in the French Quarter. The website invites guests to enjoy both “classic poboys and innovated sandwiches alongside a dynamic bar program.”

The original Mahony’s was opened in 2008 by Benjamin Wicks and Art Mahony Murray. Wicks eventually sold the original location and opened the larger French Quarter location in 2018. Located directly across Iberville Street from Deanie’s Seafood Restaurant, the second location closed last summer.
