Workers in Slidell, rejoice! A popular breakfast and lunch spot is coming back to life. T and J’s Café is taking over the former Ole No. Seven Cafe and GoodFellas Seafood and PoBoys location at 1800 Old Spainsh Trail. Owner Joshua Lancon said people can expect the same food they used to love. He added that there’s already massive interest in the upcoming restaurant.

“That building is setup, ready to go, and in a really good spot for people who work in the area,” he said. “We have people drive up to it and tryin’ to come in to eat, but we have to tell them we’re not open yet. We also have people calling the restaurant while we’re there doing work and we can’t answer it because we’re not open.”

Lancon said T and J’s Café will serve smash burgers and a range of popular po’boys, including catfish, roast beef, hot sausage and hamburger. Beverage options will include Coca-Cola products, coffee, tea, and bottled beer. An opening date is set for the end of May.
