Tacos del Cartel at the Beacon will be led by Chef Christian Chaussant, who will introduce an expansive menu specializing in street tacos and mezcal with carefully curated cocktails and classic Tex-Mex dishes, including burritos, enchiladas, and tostadas made with fresh and organic ingredients. The restaurant will feature interior designs by JL Studio Designs, immersing patrons in Mexican decor with tropical trees, a large bar, and a patio.

“My wife, Vilexys, and I have always enjoyed the art of celebration in different cultures. Tacos del Cartel is our homage to Mexican cuisine and our take on an elevated dining experience,” said Danny Cruz, Co-Owner of VEHO Hospitality in a statement. “As we travel the world, we have chosen the heart of New Orleans as the hub of our hospitality journey, and South Market is where we see our vision coming to fruition with our second location of Tacos del Cartel.”

“With the Beacon, crafting a vibrant residential community with premier amenities and the opportunity for one-of-a-kind experiences is an utmost priority,” said Matt Schwartz, CEO of the Domain Companies. “Tacos del Cartel will not only offer an option for delicious Mexican cuisine in South Market but will improve the quality of life for residents at the Beacon with a new dining experience right in the heart of their building. We welcome Tacos del Cartel to South Market and are excited to dine with them.”
